The Valley of the Sorok Creek was already inhabited by the Romans: this factis supported by the remains of the Roman Villa excavated there. Its main sight is the medieval Bezerédy Mansion standing in the middle of a well – maintained park, which operates as a temporary home for creative artists. The manor was remodelled several times. The Sennyei Family had a two – storey Renaissance Castle built in the 18th century along the Rába River, which forms the middle part of the present manor. In 1780 Antal Sennyei expanded it into a three – storey building in Baroque style. In Tudor style building an English garden around it. The „1000-years old Tree”, the oldest and largest wild oak tree in Hungary, rises on the Rába River bank.
