A mere 4kms away from Zánka and the shores of Lake Balaton, the village is part of the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine district. It is guarded from the west by the Hangyás crest and surrounded by well-looked-after vineries and juniper fields. Most of its borderlands lie within the Balaton-Highlands National Park. The village first appears in documents from 1292 and is, according to some sources, named after its once proprietor. The populace (currently counting about 100 souls) is predominantly of... tovább catholic faith, the manor had the roman catholic church built in 1764. The residents have for centuries made a living from viniculture and wine production.
