Szentantalfa

Szentantalfa, the geographical and administrative center of the Nivegy valley, is home to 406 residents. Situated on the downs, its former significance is proven by the three churches built in the 18th century which ensure the religious life for the catholic, reformed and evangelical populace. These days followers of the Church of Nazarene form the majority, due to their solidarity and diligence a self-supporting community house was raised and is being operated. Szentantalfa acts as a central hub for winery in the region; in 2001 through joint effort the Zánka-Nivegy-valley Wine Route Association was called to life.
