Accessible: road no: 47 The first written document mentioning the settlement situated near the meeting of the two rivers Berttyó and Sebes-Körös derives from 1067. Since that time thr village has always been an important agricultural settlement of the region. The most important sights are the Calvinist and the Catholic churches, Sárrét Museum and the D’Orsay mansion. The river bank at Várhely is the most popular holiday resort near the town.
