Description
This chime clock, unique in Hungary, was one of the symbols of the universities in the Middle Ages. Colorful figures representing the university council and graduating students marching out from wall holes around the clock face, designed by Ferenc Csúri, at the tune of "Gaudeamus igitur" reworked by Vaszy Viktor. It was in 1936 when for the first time the musical clock played its tunes during the Open Air Festival. The painted wooden figures come out at 12.15 and 17.45.
