Szabadhídvég

Szabadhidvég is situated on the western part of Fejér County, on the right bank of River Sió. The name of Hídvég village comes from Gatal Hidweghi, from 1344. He united Városhidvég, Faluhidvég and Szabadhegy, and the outer areas and farms belonging to the three villages as Szabadhidvég in 1922. Until 1950 it belonged to Tab district in Somogy County. In early 1950 the settlement was connected to Enying district Fejér County. Mezőkomárom and Szabadhidvég was united in 1950. The united settlements... tovább were called Mezőhidvég. In 1954 it became again and it regained its name Szabadhidvég.
