The Museum of Local History was opened in 1972 on the initiative of the Society of Local History. The founder members were the Council of Solymár and the Agricultural Cooperation ’Pilisvölgye’. The later donated the premises, the Local Council covered the cost of the renovation.The founders requested Dr Stephen Jablonkay to organize the collection, who was a devoted and conscientious director of the museum for 28 years. I must remark that every piece of the collection was a donation thanks to... tovább the local- patriotic people of Solymár. It is lived by 8737 people.
