The pride of the town is its 13th century castle. Its restored wings, built under the Renaissance influence, are a particular historical memory. The Castle Museum contains antiquities, an exhibition devoted to the memory of the great poet Gyula Illyés, along with paintings and other possessions of those who were castellans here. The Summer Theatre Festival lays on operetta and other performances for visitors. A small but pleasant camping site is close to the castle.
