A village of 2444 inhabitants lying of the southwest border of Fejér county. It was Lajos Batthyány the owner of the domain of Enying who founded it in 1803 as a village of serfs on the confines of Mezőkomárom in order to exploit his lands in a more efficient way. This is why the new village – which was occupied by the mixed population of Germans, Slovaks and Hungarians – received the founder’s forename.
