The most well-known building of Kondoros, the Kondorosi Inn was built around 1740 at the junction of 8 roads making it the most important „csárda” (traditional Hungarian inn) of the southern region of the Great Plains.
The csárda consisted of a main rest-house building with a courtyard, a post station, a roofed but open horse-bay, a shadoof and a granary. The „old csárda” which was thought to be lost because of the immuration of the 1910s recovered its old layout again by 1985.
Since the summer of 2005 it functions as a far-famed restaurant and a „csárdamuseum”.
Even Sándor Rózsa (the Hungarian Robin Hood) has been hiding in its legendary basement and tunnel. The inn is mentioned many times in Hungarian literature: János Arany, Mihály Szabolcska and Ferenc Erkel all wrote about it.
The Kondoros „Betyár” (scamp/outlaw) Days are organised annually in the immediate vicinity of the inn.
