Description

It is the youngest member of the chain of fortifications, which was built between 1871 and 77. Its curiosity is the cross entrenchments, which provided the defence against the effect of splinters of the enemy’s fire. They can be seen now in their original state. The pieces of the Roman stoneworks of György Klapka Museum can be seen in its casemates since 1965: stoneworks, gravestones with epitaph, sarcophagi and altar-stones.
