Description
In 1992, the Jászberény 56 Association commissioned Sisa József to design the monument. On March 20, 1996, the Jászberény 56 Monument Foundation was created, the Jász Pofosz, and on October 23, 1998, amid great celebration, the statue was unveiled. It consists of four marble sides with Bronze plaques placed on them inscribed with the coats of arms of the republic and the city and on the two other sides are inscribed the names of the heroes and martyrs of 1956.
