Description
Homokkomárom is a well-konw and popular place of pilgrimage. The devotional picture of the Madonna and the skeleton of the martyr St. Felix are preserved in the high altar of the church of the holy place built in the first half of the 18th century. The origin of the holy place of the Blessed Virgin is connected with an image of the Holy Virgin which was found undamaged in the open air in the 1700s. The two-storied Franciscan convent, built in Baroque style in 1774, can be found next to it. In these days, it is the home of the Eight Beatitude Catholic Community.
