A mere 8 km drive from the national capital. Halásztelek is the northernmost settlement of the small region. Built in 1980 to the plans of György Csete, the Roman Catholic church is a significant specimen of Hungarian organic architecture. Tha main street of the settlement is adorned by the 19th century castle of the Malonyay family. The eclectic building has recently been renovated to its original glory.
