This village from the period of the Árpáds is situated on the northernmost part of Szigetköz and has significant industrial and agricultural production. The sights of the village include the oak tree of the Millennium (planted in 1896), the neo-gothic Roman catholic church with coloured glass windows, the former Németh-villa, the birth place of Dr. Batthyány-Strattmann László known as the ‘doctor of the poor’, the opposing small votive chapel, the Village House, the Pogány castle hotel. The weir... tovább is also considered as a sight even in its abandoned state. The Danube branches just outside the village are excellent places for water tours, unique paradise for anglers and provide perfect excursion possibilities for lovers of peace of the untouched nature.
