Accessible: 70 Diósd was a regal property in the time of Hungary’s conquest by the Magyars, but under the Turkish rule it was devastated along with many other fellow-sufferers. According to a legend said Bishop St. Gerard his last mass in Diósd’s medieval church before his martyrdom. To guard his memories a chapel was built in 1771 on the commission of József Illésházy. The neobaroque church of the town was built in 1896, which is decorated with the mosaics of Antal Nemesics. With the visit of... tovább of the baroque statues of St. John from Nipomo and St. Florien we can take an intimate walk to a house, in which the attachments of the traditional life are exhibited. On the plateau we find also a young museum, the Museum of Radio and Television, which was opened in 1995. The Hive Stones, which ones can be easily found in the town, are under nationwide protection.
