The Buda Castle Funicular Railway is a unique form of transport which takes you up from Adam Clark Square to the <a href="http://gotohungary.com/all-sights/-/netaview/40595">Buda Castle</a>. It has been listed as part of UNESCO world heritage since 1987, as part of the sights along the Danube waterfront. The lower station is by the <a href="http://gotohungary.com/all-sights/-/netaview/40608">Széchenyi Chain Bridge</a>, next to the Eastern end of the Buda Castle tunnel. The upper station is up at in the Buda Castle, between the Royal Palace and the <a href="http://gotohungary.com/all-sights/-/netaview/40544">Sándor Palace</a>, the permanent residence of the President of the Republic of Hungary.  The Funicular Railway consists of two counterweighted cars that change places as they glide up and down the tracks every 15 minutes or so. The actual journey is 10-15 minutes long, covering 95m and covers a height difference of 50m.
