Stretching at the foot of the Keszthely Mountains and along with the Szigliget Bay in the gate of Lake Balaton, a settlement had already been established in Roman times at the current place of the village. Its church had been built in the 12th century, which was through significant reconstructions in the 15th century as well as in the 1800’s. Roman construction ruins constitute the hard standing of the church. The abyss of the mountain chain hides the reputed and so-called... tovább Csodabogyós-barlang (’Miraculous berry grotto’), whose dimensions and dripstone shapes make it one of the most outstanding attractions in the Transdanubian region. Marvellous sight opens onto Lake Balaton from the mountain peak.
