Bácsalmás is situated in the south of Hungary, near the Serbien border. As for nature conservation, the town possesses some considerable, valuable territories. One of these places in Kossuth Park int he town centre, where 300-years-old robur trees can be found. Another one is the region of the nearby Sós Lake (Salt Lake), which is also acknowledged nationally, since the biggest conneted population of fox-gloves in Europe can be found here. The paradise of anglers and protected water-birds is... tovább called Horgásztó (Angler’s Lake), whose territory is 12 hectares and has been shaped from Kígyós Stream, which is the only river int he area.
